Boyles Ministry Newsletter

April 2007

Dear friends and family,

I apologize for not getting this newsletter out a little sooner.  As I am sure you know, when you leave town it takes a while to get caught back up.  It was no different when we returned from our trip.

It was good to see so many of you while we were home for Easter.  We were very thankful to get to see our family and we were so glad to visit with as many of our supporting churches as we did.  We want to say thank you to all of you that helped make our trip so special.  Ann Marie was very excited to see her grandparents and great grandparents.  They spoiled her rotten during our visit.  She had a great time with her cousins.  She has already been talking about what they will do together at our next visit.

We returned to Belize feeling refreshed and ready to start construction on the property.  We had a meeting with the Human Development office the week we returned.  We were given the guidelines by which a children’s home must be built and managed.  We were also told during the meeting there is an immediate need for a women’s center.  There is only one in the country and it is filled to capacity.

While we feel passionate about building the children’s home first, there is a need for a women’s center now.  As most of you know, the vision for the property from the beginning included a women’s center and children’s home.

We desire your prayers.  We want to move in the direction that God wants, not what we want.  Psalms 25:4 says “Show me thy ways, O Lord, teach me thy paths.”  We believe strongly in the power of prayer and we know that God will show us His way.  We will send letters to the Minister of Human Development requesting approval for both the children’s home and the women’s center and then move forward as we are led by God.   Thank you in advance for your support and prayers.

We attended a pastors and wives conference the weekend after we got back.  The conference was led by Joe Arms and Tim Stricklin from Texas.  It was well attended and very informative.  It was nice to fellowship with other pastors and their wives.

The southern region of the Baptist Association had a meeting Saturday, April 28th.   Prayers in each of the languages of Belize opened the meeting (English, Spanish, Garifuna, Maya, and Kekchi). In addition to the prayers, there was singing and of course, the business meeting.  We had lunch following the meeting.  Again, we enjoyed the fellowship of other pastors, their wives, and other church members.

Rebecca Stafford from Tennessee will be arriving Saturday for a four week stay in Belize.  She is interning and will be working in San Juan with the Spanish speaking residents.  We are getting ready for the next team to arrive the end of May.  After this, every week is full until the end of the summer.  We will either have a mission team here, or we be having youth camp.

Please continue to pray for our ministries in Belize.

In Christ,

Jeff, Tiffany, and Ann Marie
